ANSWER:

These are called mandibular tori and they are just a normal overgrowth of normal bone. In fact I have them myself. They may be in response to clenching and grinding, and you do not need to have then removed. If they bother you, you can see a periodontist or an oral and maxillofacial surgeon to remove them. It is a simple surgical procedure with minimal post operative discomfort. Let me know if you would like me to try to find you a qualified surgeon in your area.
