AKA a partial, partial plate, or removable bridge. It is an appliance which replaces one or more teeth that the patient is able to remove. It rests on the soft tissues of the jaws and uses metal or plastic clasps on the remaining teeth to give it stability. Implants may also be used as attachments to improve the stability of the removable partial denture.
