ntodiscoUncategorized

Also know as deciduous teeth or baby teeth. The baby teeth begin to erupt in to a child’s mouth in the first year of life and usually continue until the child is 2 to 3 years old. They will be replaced with the permanent/adult teeth over the course of the child’s first 13 to 14 years of life. There are 20 baby teeth, which are letter starting with the letter “A” as the upper right molar and continue “B,C,D,E,F,G,H,I,J” in the upper arch and then dropping down to the lower left molar continue “K,L,M,N,O,P,Q,R,S,T” with “T” being the lower right baby molar. From the mid-line moving distally the primary dentition consists of a central incisor, a lateral incisor, a canine and then a first and second molar per quadrant. Note: There are no pre-molars or bicuspids in the primary dentition.
