The roof of the mouth. The anterior portion is the hard palate which is covered with keratinized gingiva. The soft palate is the distal portion of the roof of the mouth and is covered with mucosa.
Pamidronate
Also known as Aredia. Intravenous nitrogen containing bisphosphonate used for the treatment of certain cancers, and Pagets disease. It inhibits the maturation and migration of osteoclasts. It is associated with an increased risk of developing bisphosphonater related osteonecrosis of the jaws.
