The death of cells or tissue due to injury, toxins, chemical agents or loss of blood supply.
Necrotic
A term which denotes dead tissue.
Necrotic pulp/tooth
A tooth in which the pulp or nerve has died. These teeth require root canal treatment or endodontics in order to save teeth as healthy functional teeth.
Nerve(s)
Tissues in the body which care sensory information back and forth from the extremities to the brain and spinal cord. In dentistry also may mean the pulp inside the tooth or the inferior alveolar nerve which innervates the lower teeth, tongue, and lower lips.
