Maxillary Sinus

The large air filled space in the maxillary jaw. It is lined with skin and functions to filter out debris we breathe in as well as to make our face lighter. It is often in close proximity to our upper back teeth.

Mesial

A directional term which denotes the direction or surface toward the front/center of the mouth. From the center of the front teeth the incisors are mesial to the canines, the canines are mesial to the pre-molars, the pre-molars are mesial to the molars.

Midline

The imaginary line between the two central incisors. Directionally this line separates the mouth into right and left sides.

Mini-implants
