Also known as halitosis. Bad breath is a condition caused by overgrowth of bacteria in the mouth which create odor. Most bad breath is a result of bacteria growing on the tongue, but it may also be from severe periodontal infection, consumption of onion and garlic, or uncontrolled diabetes.

They maybe synthetic collagen, metal mesh, or human derived, and may be dissolving (aka resorbable) or Non-dissolving (aka non-resorbable). Non-resorbable barrier membranes require a second surgery to remove them.
