Implant Abutment

The middle connector in an implant restoration. It is usually screwed into the implant and projects into the mouth and is used to support the replacement tooth crown. It can be custom made or stock (pre-made one size fits all) and can also be used to support removable appliances (i.e. removable partial dentures).

Implant Stability Quotient (ISQ)

Is a method of measuring the stability of a dental implant using resonance frequency. The scale is from 1 to 100 with 100 being the highest level of stability measurable.
